Specify the scope of the renovation

[[gallery:1]

At first it is worth answering some simple questions:

* Does the renovation cover the whole apartment or just the chosen rooms?
Is furniture changing?
* Do you need to move sockets or lighting points?
* Do walls require repair, smoothing or just refreshing?
* Will floor, door or equipment be replaced?

It is only after these issues have been identified that the next steps can be sensibly planned.

First the installations, then the finish

If electrical changes are planned, it is worth doing them before final wall preparation.

Moving the socket after smoothing and painting means unnecessary forging and fixing.

Therefore, it is good to prioritize the location of TV, beds, desk, kitchen equipment and lighting.

Rate the condition of the walls

Not every wall requires smoothing from the beginning.

Sometimes it is enough to repair, spatula and good preparation for painting.

However, if the substrate is uneven, cracked or has poor old coatings, the scope of the work will be greater.

Set the order of work

Well planned renovation takes place in stages:

1. dismantling and preparation of premises,
2. installation work,
3. repair and preparation of walls,
4. smooth and spatula,
5. painting and wallpaper,
6th floor,
7th door,
8. installation of fittings, lamps and equipment elements.

This order reduces the risk of damage to previously performed works.

Don't buy everything right away

Materials should be ordered when you know exactly what and how much you need.

This applies especially to paints, panels, strips, doors and decorative materials.

Well planned renovations are less chaos, less corrections and a better end result.

If you plan to renovate your apartment and do not know where to start, it is worth first to determine the real scope of the work and order of implementation.

2. In what order do repairs?

The order of work during the renovation is of great importance.

The error made at the beginning may later cause the need to resplit, paint or disassemble finished elements.

Therefore, the renovation should be conducted from the works most interfering in the apartment to the most finishing.

#1. Preparation and dismantling

At first, the elements to be replaced are removed and the premises for further work are prepared.

If some of the equipment remains in the apartment, it is worth protecting it accordingly.

#2. Electrical and installation works

Changes in the position of sockets, switches and lighting points shall be made before the final wall finish.

It is also a good time to plan the power supply of the kitchen, TV, workplace or additional lighting.

#3. Repair and preparation of walls

Upon completion of the installation work, surface repair may be undertaken.

This includes, inter alia:

* supplement of cavities,
* repairing sites after installations,
* surface alignment,
* Squeeze,
* execution smoothes.

4. Landing and painting

After proper preparation the substrate is primed and painted.

At this stage you can also make wallpapers and some decorative wall finishes.

5th floor

Panels and other finished floors are best assembled after finishing the most dirty works.

This reduces the risk of damage or permanent dirt.

#6. Doors and finishing elements

After flooring you can go to the installation of doors, rails and other finishing elements.

#7. Nests, lamps and equipment

At the end of the assembly, electrical fittings, lamps, parts of furniture and equipment are installed.

This is the stage where the interior begins to look like a ready-to-use space.

Why is order important?

A good renovation organization avoids a situation in which a freshly painted wall needs to be forged again or a new floor protected from intense construction work.

With more renovation it is worth to determine the order of all stages even before the work begins.
